Aerospace Pressure Transducers
Honeywell offers a variety of highly specialized pressure and differential pressure sensors adapted to meet the high accuracy outputs, light weight and small sizes required in aerospace test and measurement applications. All of our pressure sensors are constructed of stainless steel.
Certain models feature Honeywell's special double diaphragm design which provides hermetic protection for the internal components while allowing the unit to reference atmospheric pressure. All units are able to meet MIL-45208 and traceability requirements. Custom engineering is a Honeywell specialty.
Digital Output Pressure Transducers
Honeywell's digital output pressure sensors offer a smart combination of microprocessor-based, internal signal conditioning and micro-machined silicon pressure sensor technology to provide digital communications directly to your PC with superior accuracy and stability. With <1 ms step response on the analog output and >300 readings/second on the digital output, these pressure sensors provide the speed required for dynamic automotive or aerospace applications. The all welded stainless steel construction makes these sensors suitable for rugged environments and pressure media compatible with stainless steel.
Honeywell’s digital gauges provide a highly portable force measurement device for calibrating pressure and differential pressure measuring equipment. Honeywell’s digital gauges deliver long lasting performance with enhanced accuracy. These units are manufactured from stainless steel and use Honeywell sensor technology that has no moving parts, requires little recalibration and has excellent overpressure tolerance.
The large, easy-to-read digital display features a membrane face with raised buttons and tactile feedback for setup and operation. Zero adjustment and zero offset/tare functions are standard on each unit. Calibration and setup parameters are stored on a memory chip to protect from loss, even when power is interrupted.
Flush Pressure Transducers
Honeywell flush pressure sensors feature a miniature footprint to fit into very small spaces with tight clearances and available pressure ranges spanning from 0 psig up to 15000 psig The unitized stainless steel design, with a thin diaphragm and heavy sidewalls constructed from one piece of stainless steel, makes these sensors very rugged, yet thin enough to measure low pressures.
All welded electrical connectors are built in as an integral part of the transducer body and are recommended for applications involving rough handling or where an all-welded stainless steel transducer is required. These sensors can be used in corrosive fluid environments. The flush diaphragm design also makes them ideal for operations which involve the spraying or application of sealants, paints, coatings, or other congealable media which can clog conventional pressure ports.
General Process Pressure Transducers
Honeywell offers both pressure and differential pressure sensors in either silicon based or foil based strain gage technology perfect for many types of applications in automotive, aerospace, chemical, semiconductor manufacturing and general industry. In fact, Honeywell is among a handful of companies offering pressure sensors that can measure pressure up to 175,000 psi with enhanced accuracy and reliability.
Honeywell’s foil-based strain gage technology enables our pressure sensors to withstand pressure that would destroy silicon based or micro-machined pressure sensors. Honeywell pressure sensors feature all welded, stainless steel construction and are built for rugged industrial applications that require high accuracy, enhanced reliability and measurement stability. All of our pressure products are highly configurable to meet a customer’s unique requirements and environments. Intrinsically safe options for use in hazardous locations are available on select pressure sensor models.
Hazardous Location Pressure Transducers
Honeywell offers both pressure and differential pressure sensors with rugged, hermetically-sealed, stainless steel construction and are designed for operation in hazardous locations. All-welded, stainless steel diaphragms allow these sensors to be used with liquid, gas or corrosive vapors. Available pressure measurements range from 2 psig/a up to 20,000 psig/a or 2 psid to 10,000 psid for differential pressure models with accuracy ranges of 0.25%, 0.1% and 0.5%. Intrinsically safe, explosion proof, and CE options are available on select models.
High Pressure Transducers
The high pressure transducer Model HP is designed to accept extreme pressure ranges of 50,000 psi to 100,000 psi. Manufactured out of Custom 465 Stainless Steel and are equipped with a special safety blow out plug in its outer case, this transducer will allow the excess pressure to gradually leak out should the pressure element rupture. These transducers operate in a wide temperature range from -65 °F through 250 °F. Temperature effects on span and zero are 0.005 % each and a full scale accuracy of 0.5 % is achieved.
Industrial Pressure Transducers
The Model LM pressure transducer is a cost efficient general purpose gage-only device. Each unit is constructed of HA C276/316 Stainless Steel for ranges 100 psi and less or 17-4 PH Stainless Steel ranges above 100 psi to 1500 psi or 15-5 PH Stainless Steel for ranges 2,000 psi and above for durability in dry rugged environments. Both gas and liquid pressure overloads of up to 50% over capacity are safely accepted.
Subminiature Differential Pressure Transducers
The Model P-30-P, wet/wet differential pressure transducer, is a subminiature unit which is uniquely suited to aerospace, chemical or nuclear applications. Features include small size, bidirectional overload protection, wide temperature compensation, high natural frequencies and manufactured from 17-4 PH Stainless steel wetted material.
